Materials
Invested in some new XL and small detail brushes! I've been super excited about these because they're a testament to my growth as an artist and identifying what I need at this point. I have also been purchasing materials to experiment with thick-layered texture using acrylic paints.

Day 2 of working on a piece for my showcase in London. My first time in London, and it being for my art, felt like the biggest blessing. I had a dream about this piece and decided it was the one to make!

Finishing touches to the man of the piece. Orange felt right for him.

London Showcase
Both pieces I painted side by side, simultaneously, to be represented as one. The backgrounds are abstractly painted with free and wide brush strokes, demonstrating movement and building layers from cool to warm.
I painted both beings facing towards each other to show familiarity and unity. The blue woman and man are demonstrating confidence and security in themselves, as well as in one another.
The Tiger Lillies are used as a form of symbolism for what positive qualities they embody and bring to the world around them as individuals and as a unit.

"Vision to Reality"
Public Art, 2024-2025
My first 8ft x 8ft mural on metal plates. I started on December 2nd, and after the holidays and closings for freezing temperatures, I finished on January 29th.
I learned so much painting this, it is the largest scale I've ever done, and it showed me how far I can go with my practice.

Fluid In Disarray, 2023
30"x30"
Acrylic and Oil On Canvas
I had an idea and was inspired by the feeling it gave me. I created this piece solely off emotion and taking it out on the canvas.

A reminder to remain fluid, leave room for growth, and be mindful in the midst of chaos. Control what you can and release what you can not.

When My Eyes Are Closed, 2023
Acrylic on Canvas
I started working on pieces for my solo show that I don't know when I'm having, but I know the concept, the why, and the meaning. This is me just getting started on an idea.

When My Eyes Are Closed, 2023
Acrylic on Canvas
24" x 38"
When I close my eyes, i see white lights in the darkness and flashes of my childhood home, a brick apartment building. But, for some reason, I felt this piece would be more powerful with a red man. Reminds me of someone radiating warmth and courage.

The Man, 2022
24" x 24"
Acrylic and Oil on Canvas
A reminder for men to see, hear, and speak no evil. Everyone has their own paths they're set out to follow in life. It's important to embrace your own and only go along with those that are in alignment with you.
