I want to make blue feel good because it makes me feel good — after all, it’s royal.

This ongoing series serves as the foundation for my first solo exhibition. The color blue is symbolic — my literal interpretation of the phrase “people of color.” Through this work, I explore identity, emotion, and the many shades of what it means to simply be.

I’ve come to realize that my art can speak to reality without having to replicate it exactly. Each piece allows me to translate truth through color, feeling, and form — creating a world where blue feels good, too.
