Craft & Convos: DIY Clothing Workshop
An open 4-hour hands-on clothing design workshop hosted by Sunaé Long, inside of a 17ft box truck called the "Creative Space", a mobile studio created by Danté Laughlin, the founder of For Struggling Creatives.
Utilizing the mobile studio to host a design workshop is a part of our goal to create more intimate settings where creatives can engage, build on their existing skills, and expand their interests in open outdoor environments.
At Art All Night we were able to enhance attendees' experience, improve learning opportunities, and provide a new interactive outdoor attraction. Within the workshop, attendees were engaging in customizing/ up-cycling their article of clothing or a t-shirt/accessory provided. During the workshop, we discussed bringing shape, layers, texture, and complementary colors into their wardrobe! They kept the items they created and took away knowledge about how to enhance their style in fun, creative ways.
